Our beloved Paul recently passed on 27/04/22.  Paul was a wonderful brother, husband , Proud dad, Father-In-Law ,friend, Uncle cousin and so much more, he touched the lives of those around him. A quiet caring Family man a gentleman, Also grumpy at times and Stubborn !!

Paul started life in Stepney East London with Mum Madge and Dad Tom and was later joined by Sister Lynn. We was bourn into a real east end family ,quite a large family. A family who were true EastEnders and would do anything for anyone as would Paul.

Growing up Paul loved nothing more than a Jam Sandwich and a Strawberry Nesquik after School and always enjoyed a Cheese and Pickle Roll or Sandwich on a Saturday afternoon ,well any any afternoon really !!

He loved the water , from splashing other kids in the pool and getting Mum and Dad into trouble, to entering any kind of swimming competition, Jumping and diving into the water, there really was no boundaries to he's love of water even the sea had to be swam in.

As a Family we enjoyed holidays to Pontins every year , Camber Sands was a particular favourite. It was always difficult to get him out of the water on holidays , or any time ,I think it's to say he was truly a water baby.

later Mum and Dad bought a Caravan In partnership with our family members Val and Mick.  Paul always worked hard ,he had a Saturday Job in Halfords where he later become full time in-between jobs, and prior to that he worked weekends and Holidays at the amusement arcade on the caravan Site at Point Clear . He's first Job was at McCann Erickson and later he moved to Fresh Fields where he stayed for 30+ Years , and where he friends for life ,he was very well respected and loved . Paul took reduncancy from Freshfields and took a short time to relax and enjoy not having to do the London commute that he constantly complained about, before starting a new career as a driver for BCA British Car auctions which allowed him so much more flexibility to do the things he loved and take numerous holidays around the world a year toping up he's tan

All of he's hard work paid off and enabled him to buy he's first car a Ford Escort , that car doesn't hold many fond memories as when Paul was 19 and Lynn 18 we had a serious accident driving to the caravan ,Paul spent many weeks in hospital and had to have Pins in he's leg which caused him to walk with a limp for the rest of he's , but this didn't stop him like many other things that Paul endured in he's life he bounced back and never let it make him a Victim and control he's life.

Because of he's hard work determination and love of the water ,when Paul was in he's early 20's he discovered water skiing ,this love then lead him to buying a speed boat and master the art of water skiing ,then one thing lead to another and through one of he's water skiing friends he met Janette who I can truly say was the love of he's life .  After a few years when Janette became 21 they got engaged and bought their first home in Plumstead , and In 1990 they married . Five years later in September 1995 Chloe was born to very proud parents.  All grown up now Chloe work's in a nursery as a Nursery Nurse deputising for the Nursery manager ,She has met the love of her life Bill and they married last year August 2021 , Paul like any Dad was as proud as punch and beamed as he walked her down the aisle to meet Bill so they could start their life journey just like Paul and Janette had done back in 1990 . Unbeknown to Paul Chloe had a surprise for him at the wedding and arranged to dance with her Dad to a very apt song of Daddy's little girl . Happy emotions not a dry eye in the room .

As a sister and an aunty I (Lynn) couldn't be more proud , my heart bursts with pride and happiness seeing Chloe grow into a wonderful young woman and feel so lucky to have a brother like Paul who looks out for us all . Paul and Janette have always included me and made sure that they shared every thing with me every step of the way.

This year would bring a close to Paul's life here with us ,In early March he contracted covid ,due to he's underlying lung condition which he had for 12 years he became poorly and was admitted to St Thomas hospital London , where he had the most amazing wonderful care and he fought every step of the way and defied all odds but it wasn't to be he had used all he's nine lives and was tired ,he just needed to rest now, on 27th April 2022 Paul left to join Mum ,Dad , He's mother and Father in-law and other family that had passed before .

There are not enough words or time to tell you all about Paul's life ,he packed so much in ,It would be like writing war and peace!!  From he's love of water , Cheese and Pickle Sarnies , O what I have forgotten to mention is he loved a plan ,he always had a plan for everything . Golf was something he also enjoyed , although the didn't quite master the art,  Sun Worshipping be it in the garden or on holiday's abroad topping up he's Tan and having Bar-B-Q's in the summer.  Point Clear bay was a big part of he's life from age of 11 when we had our first caravan to Janette's family bungalow where they spent weekends if they wasn't n holiday until last summer.

Paul will always and forever be loved and bring a smile to all our faces ,each of us have our memories for us a family ,we remember the remote control wiz wiz , BGT was a fix , another sob story . Tickets ,Money Passport .Soo many more memories that each of us cherish and will never forget ,he was a fighter.

Thank you so much to St Thomas hospital for all of the wonderful exceptional care you have given Paul. Dr Boris looked after Paul for many years and went above and beyond to care for he's health ,the last few months the staff in ICU1 (Intensive Care) Cared for Paul like he was a member of their own family , they are exceptional wonderful people , we are proud to be able to give something back and say thank you for not only looking after Paul but for looking after Jannette and Lynn .

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
